This viewer presents a browser adaptation of the Linz Blender teaching scene, covering the historic centre, Danube corridor, Urfahr and JKU. It is a derived reconstruction, not an official City of Linz product.
Datenquelle: Stadt Linz Open Data and 3d.linz.at. City building and terrain data and city photographs are credited under CC BY 4.0. The project uses the 2025 CityGML release and additional imagery; publication years do not establish the survey date of every feature.
Road, tram and landscape references: © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL 1.0. The original and derived spatial data remain in the companion Blender project under their applicable terms.
Geometry is grouped into spatial tiles, duplicate vertex corners are indexed, photographs are shared, and trees reuse mesh instances. Tiles load near the current view and are released as you move. Some Blender procedural materials are represented by simpler browser shaders. The underlying Blender master is preserved.
Unphotographed façades, some landmark details, landscape placement and generated street widths are illustrative. This is a visual model without live municipal sensor feeds. It does not establish survey accuracy, accessible routes, structural clearance or validated traffic behaviour.
Source reference: EPSG:31255. Local origin: E 70750, N 352250, H 250 metres. Local axes are east, north, up. Heights follow the source convention above Adria; no vertical-datum conversion was applied.
Drag to orbit, right-drag to move, scroll to zoom and double-click to focus. On touch screens, use one finger to orbit and two fingers to move or pinch. Place shortcuts take you to prepared views.
Rendered with Three.js, distributed under the MIT licence. No Blender installation is required to use this viewer.
